Hendrick Lansing, Jr.

by

Hendrick Lansing, Jr. was born about 1680. He was the son of Albany residents Hendrick and Elizabeth Caspers Lansing. He grew up in a fur trader's home in Albany's second ward - nearby the homes of other Lansing family members..

In 1699, "Hend. Lansing, Jun." signed an oath pledging allegiance to the king of England.

In March 1704, he married Jannetie Knickerbacker at the Albany Dutch church. At that time, the newlyweds were identified as natives and residents of Rensselaerswyck. Their daughter was born the next year.

However, his marriage was shortlived. Hendrick Lansing, Jr. was dead by March 1709 when his widow re-married.
