Anna Lansing Ten Eyck

by

Anna Lansing was born in July 1746. She was the daughter of Albany area residents Jacob and Maria Lansing.

In April 1769, she married Albany native Abraham Ten Eyck. By 1790, their nine children had been christened at the Albany Dutch church.

This Ten Eyck family lived in a substantial house near the riverfront where Abraham engaged in business and was involved in civic affairs.

However, after 1800, it appears that her household was enveloped in one of those of her now adult children.

Anna Lansing Ten Eyck died in January 1823 at the age of seventy-six. A day later, letters of administration were issued on her estate. Her husband died in 1824.
