Conrad Heyer

by

Based on subsequent documentation, carpenter Conrad Heyer was an Albany resident in 1760. We seek information on his origins and path to Albany. However, we expect that he was born prior to 1740 and that he may be kin-connected to Albany resident Gerrit Heyer. Perhaps, he was of German ancestry.

His name (Kyer) appeared on a muster roll of New York Provincial troops for 1755.

Perhaps he did not marry as we have not encountered his name in our sweep of the extant records of early Albany churches.

Conrad Heyer filed a will in June 1760. That will passed probate in June 1760. It stands as the sole compelling resource on his life.

Beyond the above, his name (and its many variations) has yet not been encountered in our most recent sweeps of community and Internet based resources. With so many unanswered questions, we move on for now.
