Anna Hagadorn Kidney

by

Anna Hagadorn was born in April 1715. She was the first child born to the marriage of Dirck and Maria Matysen Hagadorn. She grew up in a Lutheran farm family most of whose children were christened in the Schoharie valley. In 1720, her father was identified as a freeholder in Rensselaerswyck.

In October 1737, Anna married Albany native Jacob Kidney at the Albany Dutch church. By 1742, three children had been christened in Albany.

This Kidney family lived at least for a time on the south side of Albany.

Although one source states that she died in Essex, New Jersey, we seek definitive information on the later life and passing of Anna Hagadorn Kidney. Her husband is said to have died in Essex in 1795.
