Sara Gardinier Bloomendal

by

Sara Gardinier was born in September 1699. She was the daughter of Albany area residents Samuel and Helena Bye Gardinier.

In February 1731, Sara would have been almost thirty-two when she married Albany native Jacob Maas Bloomendal at the Albany Dutch church. By 1741, four children had been christened in Albany. At least four of their children were buried by the Albany church.

This Maas or Bloomendal family lived in Albany's first ward where Jacob Maas was a brazier.

Sara Gardinier Maase (Bloomendal) died in 1752 and was buried in March from her church. Her husband lived until 1755. In 1761, their sons were provided for in the will filed by Sara's brother-in-law.
