John Graham

by

This Albany resident named John Graham (aka the younger) was born between 1756 and 1774. We seek information on his origins and on his connection to the other early Albany Graham families.

A number of marriage senarios for him are possible within Albany church records including a wedding to Maria Fryer in November 1777 and the subsequent birth of their two children. We strive to keep this individual separate from his Albany contemporary Major John Graham who appears to have left the city during the 1790s.

In 1800, his second ward household was configured on the Albany census and also showed five children under ten in residence. In 1802, his house and lot on Columbia Street was valued on the second ward assessment roll.

A John Graham died in July 1805. Letters of administration were issued on the estate of John Graham in December 1805.

The "John Grahams" then drop from the Albany city record.
