Stefan Bielinski

Debora Glen was born in June 1721. She was the only child of the marriage of Schenectady residents Jacob and Sara Wendell Glen.

In December 1739, she was eighteen-years-old when she married her cousin, Johannes Sanders, at the Albany Dutch church. The marriage further united two of the leading Scottish ancestry families in the region. By 1764, eleven children had been baptized at the Schenectady Dutch church.

This Sanders family settled north of the Mohawk and became leading residents of Scotia in what became the town of Glenville.

Johannes Sanders died in 1783. Debora was noted in his will along with their only surviving son, John. Debora Glen Sanders died in March 1786.
