Evert Evertse

by

Evert Evertse is said to have been born in Coxsackie and was christened at the Lutheran church in Klinkenberg in May 1706. He was the first child born to the marriage of Jacob and Elizabeth Hallenbeck Evertse. His parents raised their family in a middling home in Albany's third ward.

"Evert Jacobse Evertse" was appointed constable in the third ward in 1727.

Perhaps he was married to a woman named "Maria." Scant evidence of a family life has been found in the records of the Albany Dutch church.

We seek information on his later life and passing.
