Maria Donchesen was the wife of New Netherland pioneer Pieter Loockermans, Sr. She may have been of Scottish ancestry.

By the 1650s, these emigres had taken up residence in Beverwyck where their family included several children. Pieter Loockermans, Jr. was her son.

Perhaps she was the sister or another relation of Margaret Donchesen Teller.

Maria was a member of the Albany Dutch church and a widow by 1697 when her name appeared on the census as the head of an Albany household that included one child.

She assisted at a burial in February 1700. After that, her name has not been found on Albany rolls.
