Geertruy Cregier Van Vranken

Geertruy Cregier was was born in July 1693. She was the daughter of Marte Jr. and Jannetje Hendricks Van Doesburgh Cregier. She grew up in her father's Albany home and on his Canistigione farm.

In August 1720, she married thirty-five-year-old Uldrick Van Vranken at the Albany Dutch church. By 1731, the marriage had produced four children.

These Van Vrankens settled in Albany's first ward where they became community mainstays.

Geertruy Cregier Van Vranken was buried by the Albany church on October 1, 1746. Her husband lived until 1757.
