Willempie Bradt Van Santvoort
by
Stefan Bielinski

Willempie Bradt was born in June 1718. She was the daughter of Albany residents Anthony and Rebecca Vanderheyden Bradt.

In December 1747, she was twenty-nine-year-old when she married Schenectady native Staats Van Santvoort at the Albany Dutch church. By 1760, their six children had been baptized in Albany where both parents were frequent sponsors and long time pewholders.

These Van Santvoorts settled in the first ward of Albany where Staats was a gunsmith. He also held property in Schenectady and ultimately in Rensselaerswyck where he moved his family - probably during the 1780s.

Willempie Bradt Van Santvoort was accounted for in their Halfmoon household in 1790. We seek information on their later years!
