Margarita Barret Vedder

by

Margarita Barret was born in December 1689. She was the daughter of Robert and Wyntie Jans Barret. She grew up as the eldest daughter of a newcomer garrison soldier who had settled in on the Southside of Albany.

In March 1709, she married Corset Vedder at the Albany Dutch church. Their daughter was christened the following January.

These Vedders probably began their life together on a farm at the Halfmoon.

However, their marriage was a short one as Margarita Barret Vedder was dead by March 1711 when her husband remarried.
