Johannes Becker, Jr. was baptized in New Amsterdam in 1663. He was the son of Albany mainstay Jan Jurrianse and Maria Adriens Becker.

He married Anna Vanderzee in December 1684. By 1708, ten of the children had been baptized in the Albany Dutch church where he was a member and occasional baptism sponsor.

In 1690, he was appointed alderman by Jacob Leisler. He may have followed his father in public service as he frequently witnessed wills and other legal transactions. In 1695, he was elected assistant alderman for the first ward. He also served as assessor. His home was configured on the census of 1697.

Although he signed a number of loyalty oaths, his named dropped from Albany rolls after his first ward house was isted on the assessment of 1702.

A Johannes Becker witnessed a will in 1722. Traditional sources state that Johannes Becker, Jr. died in 1738. However, this individual may have died in 1712!
