1813 AMERICAN CANTEEN

Made up of wood slats held together by two 1 1/4" wide iron hoops. There is a 1/4" hole stopped with a wooden plug. Carved into one side are 1 1/4" high letters: "LCxD / 18B."

This wooden barrel canteen is of the type used by American forces in North America during the War of 1812.
