Isaac Van Valkenburgh
by
Stefan Bielinski

Isaac Van Valkenburgh was born in 1737 and baptized in the Albany Dutch church on September 4. He was the first son of the marriage of Albany carpenter Jacobus van Valkenburgh and Margarita Radcliff Van Valkenburgh.

He was named in the wills of his father and mother filed in 1766 and 1778 respectively. He was identified as the eldest son in both documents but was accorded no more than an equal share of his mother's estate - split with six siblings or their heirs.

We seek more information on his life after 1778!
