Maria Van Schaick

by

Maria Van Schaick was born in February 1721. She was the daughter of Anthony Van Schaick, Jr. and his second wife, Anna Cuyler Van Schaick.

Presently, we have not connected her to marriage or childbearing information although she was alive through that part of her life.

In 1761 and 1763, she was among the children of Anthony and Anna named in wills filed by Maria's maiden aunts.

With so many same-named contemporaries, we hesitate to connect her to qualitative material at this time. However, a gravestone for "Maria Van Schaick, 1721-1787" resides in the family cemetery on Van Schaick Island.

With unresolved outstanding questions on the life of Albany native Maria Van Schaick, we move on for now.
