Maria Vandenbergh Van Ness

Maria Gerrits Vandenbergh was born during the early 1670s. She was the daughter of Albany area residents Gerrit G. and Teuntie Gysberts Vandenbergh.

In July 1695, she married Cornelis Van Ness at the Albany Dutch church. By 1706, three children, who later married and raised families, had been christened in Albany.

This Van Ness family first lived in Albany where their budding household was configured on the census in 1697.

By 1720, Cornelis Van Ness had relocated his family to Halfmoon.
