Cornelis G. Vandenbergh

Cornelis G. Vandenbergh was born in September 1716. He was the son of Albany-area residents Gerrit C. and Catharina Van Alstyne Vandenbergh. He was the oldest of eight children but lost his father in October 1731 when this Cornelis was only fifteen.

In June 1740, he married Elizabeth Pieterson. During the 1740s and 50s, at least three children were christened in the Dutch churches of Albany and New York. In 1747, he was a pewholder in Albany.

In 1741, he was appointed constable for the third ward.

Cornelis G. Vandenbergh was last heard from at the christening of his daughter in October 1754.
