Sara Viele Bromley

by

Spelled and referred to variously, Sara Bromley was the wife of Albany resident John Bromley and matriarch of the Bromley family of Albany. Unsubstantiated traditional sources have placed her as a member of the Viele family. Based on subsequent information, we expect that she was born during the early 1700s. A number of Saras were christened by the Vieles during that time but none have been definitively connected to John Bromley.

At this point, we have tentatively "placed" this Albany wife as a daughter of the Viele family.

"John and Sara Bromly" christened three children in the Albany Dutch church in 1722, 1724 (John and Zelia Brunly), and 1726.

After that, sources on this Sara Bromley (as well as her husband) have eluded our grasp. Missing critical demographic information, we move on from the life of this Albany mother.
