by

Cornelia Ten Broeck was born during the winter of 1669. She was a daughter in the large family of Dirck Wesselse and Christina Van Buren Ten Broeck. She grew up in a wealthy and prominent businessman's homes in Albany and in the countryside.

In October 1687, she married Dominie Laurentius Vandenbosch as recorded in the rolls of the Albany Dutch church where she was a member. He was the pastor of the Dutch church in Kingston. In June 1696, she married widower Johannes Wynkoop. That marriage may have produced a child.

In 1715, Cornelia was identified as the wife of Johannes Wynkoop and named an heir of her father's estate.
