Billy Sixberry

by

Billy Sixberry probably was born during the second decade of the eighteenth century. He probably was the son of Nicholas and Maria Sixberry and the brother of Evert, an Albany resident. In his short life, he was known as "Billy."

In December 1738, he married Albany native Anna Radcliff at the Albany Dutch church. Their son named "Nicholas" was christened there in August 1739.

However, Billy Sixberry was buried in January 1740. He had lived less than thirty years.

In June, letters of administration were granted to his widow, Hannah. At that time, the deceased was identified as formerly a "gentleman" of Albany County. Their son was buried in April 1740. His widow passed a year later.
