Stefan Bielinski

Helena Schermerhorn was born in February 1734. She was the daughter of Albany natives but Kinderhook communicants Johannes and Engeltie Gardinier Schermerhorn. She grew up near other Schermerhorn families on her family's Schodack farm.

In September 1757, she married Albany-born Maas Bloomendal, Jr. By 1775, four children had been christened at the Albany Dutch church.

This Bloomendal family settled in Albany's first ward where they lived modestly for several decades.

Helena Schermerhorn Bloomendal was last heard from in 1800 when she was accounted for with her aging husband as the sole occupants of his first ward household.
