Anna Quackenbush Knickerbacker

by

Anna Quackenbush was said to have been born in March 1681. She was the daughter of Wouter and Neeltie Gysberts Quackenbush. She was a middle child in a large family that lived near the northern border of the city of Albany.

In September 1701, she married Johannes Harmanse Knickerbacker at the Albany Dutch church. By 1723, at least six children had been christened in Albany.

After starting out living nearby Anna's kin, by 1720, Knickerbacker had established his family in Schaghticoke where he became a prominent resident. At least four of her children lived long lives in the region as well.

We seek defining information on the later life and passing of Anna Quackenbush Knickerbacker. Her husband was living in Schaghticoke at least until 1737.
