Johannes Muller

by

Johannes Muller was born in October 1691. He was the son of Cornelis Stevense and Hilletie Lookermans Muller. He grew up in a large family on a Rensselaerswyck farm.

In 1715, he was identified as a private in an Albany militia company and as serving alongside his older brother. A "Johannis Miller" was naturalized by the Albany government in January 1716 but we doubt it was this Albany County native.

In June 1715, he married Elizabeth Hallenbeck at the Albany Dutch church. By 1726, six children had been christened in Albany.

In 1720, his name was included next to that of Jacob Muller on a list of freeholders in the third ward.

Johannes Muller was buried from his church in March 1727. He had lived just thirty-six years.
