Anna Lansing Hun

by

Anna Lansing was born in June 1762. She was the daughter of Albany skipper Philip and Elsie Hun Lansing. She grew up in a large family in the third ward.

In 1764, she was identified as an heir and was scheduled to receive a share of a lot of land in the will of her grandfather.

In December 1782, she married Dirck Hun at the Albany Dutch church. By 1793, seven children had been christened in churches as far away as Oyster Bay and Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

We seek information on their life after marriage. However, it does not appear that these Huns actually lived in or around Albany.

Anna Lansing Hun died some time after the birth of her last child in 1793. Her husband died in 1795.
