In May 1716, she married the slightly younger blacksmith's son, Joseph Yates, Jr., at the Albany Dutch church. By 1736, the marriage had produced eight children (including six sons) who were christened in Albany.

This Yates family made their home in Albany's first ward where Joseph Yates, Jr. also practiced the blacksmith's trade.
