Mary Frasier was about twenty-one-years-old when she married Scottish emigre Alexander Forsyth in the Albany Dutch church in December 1776. They settled in Albany and raised a family that included a number of children baptized between 1777 and 1791.

These Forsyths lived on the hill in the second ward where Alexander practiced the carpenter's trade. Her Chapel Street home was of modest size but, in 1790, included six people.

Mary Frasier Forsyth did not reach her fiftieth birthday. She died on March 16, 1804 and was buried in the United Presbyterian Church cemetery. Her husband survived until 1818 and was buried beside her.
