Maria De Wandelaer Winne

by

Maria De Wandelaer was born in December 1715. She was a younger daughter of Johannes and Elizabeth Gansevoort De Wandelaer. She grew up in a large family in the Market Street home of a prominent businessman.

In January 1745, she married Willem Winne at the Schenectady Dutrch church. At that time, she was identified as an Albany County "spinster." By 1758, at least five children had been christened at the Albany Dutch church.

These Winnes made their home in Albany's third ward where Willem Winne was a businessman and skipper.

By the 1780s, these Winnes had left Albany rolls. Perhaps they were living in Watervliet.

Maria De Wandelaer Winne possibly was buried in Rensselaer County in 1791.
