Jannetie Croon Van Papendorp

by

Jannetie Croon was the wife and then widow of Adrian Gerritse Van Papendorp. Perhaps she was the sister of Neeltie Croon Abeel.

They were married about 1655 but the union seems to have been childless. She probably was listed as "Jannetje Gerritsz" below the name of her husband on a membership list for the Albany Dutch church.

Van Papendorp set up their home in Albany where it was assessed on a census of householders in 1679. In 1689, she was identified as the head of a first ward home.

In June 1688, she was named as the principal heir in the will of her husband. He died a month later. Jannetie Croon Van Papendorp filed a will in June 1693. It passed probate in July.
