Pieter Bloomendal

by

Pieter Bloomendal was born in February 1726. We have not yet connected him to the Albany Bloomendal family.

In December 1751, he married Christina La Grange at the Albany Dutch church. At that time, "Pieter Bloemendal" was identifed as a single man of Albany. Their children were christened there in 1752 and 1754. Johannes Bloomendal served as godfather for the first baptism. Neither Pieter nor his wife were listed as baptism sponsors at the Albany church.

In1756, a census of Albany householders identified him as a tailor.

At this point, we lose track of the Albany resident referred to as "Pieter Bloomendal" and of his wife as well. Perhaps, she was the "wife of Pieter Maasen" who was buried in October 1756.
