Maria Barents Gerritse

Maria Barents Gerritse was the widow of Gerrit Van Schaick and the wife of New Netherland pioneer and seventeenth century Albany resident Ryer Elbertse Gerritse.

In 1664, they appeared before the court of Beverwyck.

Their children established the Gerritse name in Albany and its environs.
