Johannes Bancker

by

Johannes Bancker was born in March 1710. He was the last child born into the large family of Evert and Elizabeth Abeel Bancker. He grew up in a prominent businessman's homes in Albany and Manhattan.

His wife was Magdalena Veeder of Schenectady - the sister of his brother's wife. Two children were christened at the Albany Dutch church in 1735 and 1737.

In 1734, he was named co-executor and an heir of his father's estate. He was promised an addition fifty pounds if he continued to live with his father on Evert's Guilderland farm. However, his father only lived until July.

Traditional sources state that Johannes settled on the upper Normanskill.

We seek information on his subsequent life and passing.
