Eytie Bradt Hallenbeck

by

Spelled and referred to variously, Eytie Bradt was born in April 1747. She was the daughter of Anthony and Christina La Grange Bradt. She was the third of four children christened by those parents in the Albany Dutch church between 1742 and 1750. She grew up in a small family perhaps in the more westerly part of old Albany County.

In September 1772, she ("Ytje Bratt") married Albany native James Hallenbeck at the Albany church. By 1791, three children had been christened there.

These Hallenbecks made their home on the Southside of Albany in the Hallenbeck tract of land. In 1790, Eytie probably was the woman accounted for in James Hallenbeck's first ward household.

Past diminishing returns in our latest Internet sweep, and mindful of other similarly named contemporaries, we move on for now from the life of Albany wife Eytie Bradt Hallenbeck
